The bad stuff
Here’s what not to feed your Boxer dog.
Grapes & Raisins - They contain an unknown toxin that can do some damage to the Kidneys.
Garlic & Onions - This could cause your boxer dog to become anemic.
Citrus oil extracts - Causes vomiting.
Chocolate - Chocolate is bad for your Boxer dog’s heart. It contains theobromine and could be quite dangerous.
Raw fish - This can cause vomiting, seizures and in some severe cases death.
Sugary foods - these foods can make your Boxer dog obese, increase the heart-rate and blood pressure. There have been cases of insomnia.
The good stuff
Here’s what your Boxer dog will love.
Cooked meat - such as beef, don’t add any ingredients as it may contain some bad stuff; on it’s own would be fine. Maybe add some gravy and chuck some carrots in, gravy tends to be quite fatty so not so much.
Potato - Boxer dogs benefit from a good potassium intake so crush some into their food, They’ll love it.
Chicken - Try not to give it to them raw. It’s best cooked slowly using sunflower oil. Mix it with some vegetables.
Cheese - Cheese can be quite fatty so its only best as a treat every now and again. It’s best in small cubes and also is effective in training.
Dry food - Dry dog biscuits are good for your Boxer dogs snacks as they’re quite low in fat (depending on the brand).
